Speech Language Pathologist
After raising three children and working most of her life in northern Michigan, Carrie moved to Nantucket for its beauty, moderate climate, and to be near family. She has had the great pleasure of working with a diverse clientele of all ages; speech/language impaired individuals, multiply and cognitively impaired individuals, as well as gifted and talented persons. Her roles include general education as therapist, teacher, and administrator. Ms. Keyes has a masters degree in general and special education and holds the National Certificate of Clinical Competency for Speech/Language Pathology (CCC/SLP). In addition, she has a masters degree in Educational Leadership & Supervision. Her passion is caring for and creating an exceptional environment for maximal growth and progress in all learning environments.
Speech Language Therapist
Ms. Ramos grew up on Nantucket Island and graduated from Nantucket High School in 2006. After a diagnosis of autism and ADHD was presented in her immediate family, she decided to major in speech and language therapy at Bridgewater State College and earned her bachelors degree in Communication Disorders. She is thrilled to be following her passion for helping and teaching others. She loves working with children and families that are affected by speech-language impairment. Ms. Ramos uses strategies that take into account the individual’s interests, needs, and goals. When not working, she loves to walk and go to the movies.
Speech Language Pathologist
Kelley Hogan lives in South Boston and is a graduate of Worcester State College and Springfield College. She holds the certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). As a child she vacationed on Nantucket with her family, and is now excited to spend the entire summer on the island. She is looking forward exploring the island by bike and by boat; she and her boyfriend are actually living on their boat this summer in the Nantucket Harbor! As a speech-language pathologist with the Boston Public Schools, Kelley loves seeing students succeed in the academic setting as well as all of the social settings school has to offer. She is excited to work with the children of Nantucket and other visiting summer children and help them improve their speech and language skills. She will work to help them transfer their skills from the clinic to their everyday lives with their families.
Erika received her Bachelor’s in Movement Science from Gordon College in 2001 and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University- Boston School of Occupational Therapy in 2005. She has been an OT for just over 10 years now. Erika has worked in a variety of settings including acute rehab, inpatient adult, geriatrics, inpatient/outpatient pediatrics, sensory integration clinics and school. She has an advanced degree certificate in Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation from Drexel University. Worked as a traveling therapist for the first 6.5 years of her career and worked in 6 different states. Erika met some very amazing people before taking a permanent position at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2012 where she worked for the past 3.5 years. She has recently returned to traveling therapy and enjoys seeing new places and meeting new people! She loves the ocean, running and yoga, although they sometimes don’t love her back☺..
Jenna received her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and a minor in Art in 2012 at Ithaca College in upstate NY. She then received her Master’s in Occupational therapy in 2013 at Ithaca College. During college Jenna got the opportunity to participate in an internship at the UCP charter school of central Florida in Orlando as pediatric therapist and enjoyed providing OT services to children of all ages. She specifically enjoyed using sensory integration, art, and music activities during her therapy sessions. Since graduating over 3 years ago, she has been working in an acute rehabilitation setting/acute care setting at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. Jenna is originally from Tiverton, RI, and loves music, art, yoga/running, nature, and exploring new places. She is very excited to move to Nantucket and begin her career working with children.
Madina has a Master's Degree in Fine Arts. Currently learning a lot about Medical Billing and Coding. She enjoys spending time with her children and friends, Loves Art and learning new things. Has a very soft spot in her heart for special needs kids.
